The tool system is developed for the high-speed quick change and high-efficiency cutting of the tool required by the CNC machine tool, and it is the interface between the tool and the machine tool. In addition to the tool itself, it also includes the positioning, clamping, grasping and tool protection mechanisms necessary for the quick change of the tool. In addition to the characteristics of ordinary tools, the CNC machine tool system mainly has the following requirements:

According to the scope of use, the CNC tool system can be divided into boring and milling CNC tool system and turning CNC tool system; According to the structural characteristics of the system, it can be divided into integral tool system and modular tool system. Among them, the modular tool system can be divided into a variety of different modular tool systems according to the different module connection structures. Since the purpose of the application of various tool systems is basically the same, the components of various tool systems are also similar. In this chapter, the components of the CNC tool system will focus on the detailed introduction of the boring and milling CNC machine tool system, while the turning CNC machine tool system is only briefly explained due to its relatively simple structure.
